WorshipGod08 Opening Video

WorshipGod08 began with a video. It wasn’t anything dramatic or multi-sensory. We just wanted to point people’s attention to the theme of the conference, “Rediscovering the Psalms.” Different passages from four Psalms (96, 103, 40, 145) were read by people from five nationalities to communicate the relevance of the Psalms to all peoples and cultures. Jacob Campbell, a member of Covenant Life Church, did a great job putting the video together for us. Roger Hooper, another member of Covenant Life, composed the score. Since I’ve had requests from many people to see it again, here it is.

Are there any legal barriers to using this video in one of our church’s meetings? It’s fantastic.

    I’m checking. Thanks for asking.

    Bob,

Thanks for sharing, great video. We brought a team to the Conference and all of us agreed that it was a tremendous way to start things off – focusing us in on the worthiness of God, rooted in Scripture. That video provoked a response and led us into corporate worship. Kudos to Roger and the whole Conference team for creating an environment that focused our worship on the greatness of God.

Wonderful! The best thing about this is that technology has made this stuff easy enough to produce that with a small investment of time and money, local churches can produce their own. I love it.

Hey, I was wondering what version is used so I can figure out what each scripture reference is. Are they all from the Psalms?

That was great, very simple in it’s presentation and a nice contrast to so much of what passes for worship today. It’s focus is on worshipping God, not exalting and exciting man. We certainly can always use more of the Word in worship. Good stuff!

    Mark,

Thanks for asking about the text to the video. I updated the post to include a download for it. It’s verses from Pss. 96, 103, 40, and 145 in the English Standard Version.

Great video to open a great conference. Is the video available for licensing to use in a service?

    Hal,

At some point in the near future I hope to have the video available in a high quality format for downloading. Thanks for asking.

Thank you for sharing this video! Are there other videos that Covenant Life/Sovereign Grace has put together that we could use during our services as well??
