WorshipGod09 Rates About to Go Up

worshipgod09If you’re thinking about coming to WorshipGod09: From Generation to Generation, Aug. 5-8, rates go up $25 next Wednesday, April 1. Right now high school and college students are $85, groups of 5 or more are $110, and individuals are $135.

Looks like it’s going to be a great time. Main session speakers include John Piper, C.J. Mahaney, Jeff Purswell, Thabiti Anyabwile, and yours truly. Don Whitney will be speaking on family worship and cultivating a thirst for God. Musical guests include Keith and Kristyn Getty, Christian hip-hop artist Shai Linne, and guitarist Ben Gowell. We’ll also have a number of the musicians, bands, and pastors that I’ve been privileged to serve with over the years as part of Sovereign Grace Ministries.

I’ve been in a suspended mode as far as planning for the conference goes because I’m working on two CDs at the moment. One is a children’s CD (ages 7-10), To Be Like Jesus, based on the fruit of the Spirit. Steve Cook is producing it, and we’re recording vocals for that at the moment. A lot of fun. We’re also in the middle of picking songs for a CD we hope to release at WorshipGod09. It will be called Sons and Daughters, and will feature songs that explore the blessings of being adopted as God’s children through the atoning work of Christ.

In any case, for more information about the worship conference check out the WorshipGod09 website.

“Sons and Daughters” sounds great. By the way we purchased the download of “Songs for the Cross Centred Life” a few years ago and it is on my ipod. When I can’t listen to anything else I can always listen to this album – it has hugely helped me over these last few years and continues to. The music is beautiful but I guess it’s the truth of the gospel that is like water to a thirsty soul. Thanks and keep running the race.

Ali, thanks for your encouraging words about Songs for the Cross Centered Life. I’ve found that meditating on the grace of God revealed in our Savior’s sacrifice on the cross is always “hugely helpful!”

Hi Bob – very, very, VERY excited about the new CD coming out even though I just read about it for the first time moments ago. Adoption is something I’ve been meditating on for about a month now, reading scripture, listening to messages. I’ve gone back and listened to an old CLC podcast from Dec 2007 where Robin Boisvert gives a great analogy of God our Father adopting us (message entitled “Adoption and the Wonder of the Father’s Love – 1 John 3:1-3”). So I am quite excited about the CD. It’s just heightening my anticipation for the conference!

Many, many blessings to you in your ministry! See you in August!

I loved your article “I Hate That Music.” I found it through my friend Patricia at Pollywog Creek blog. I have written some worship songs that I have posted on my blog.
