Songlist from Next 2010

next.2010.jpg
Got back yesterday from NEXT 2010. It was three and a half days of singing, preaching, and hanging out with about 2500 others who wanted to dig deeper into God and his Word. A powerful time. All the main session messages are available for download from the NEXT website. If you couldn’t make the conference, I’d encourage you to check them out. And if you did make it to NEXT, I’d download them to listen to them again. Josh Harris on foundations, Mark Dever on the work of Christ, Kevin DeYoung on Scripture and the Church, CJ Mahaney on sanctification, D.A. Carson on God, and Jeff Purswell on the end times.

I’m posting the songs we sang at the conference today, and later I’ll share reflections as well as some of the thinking that went into choosing the songs.

    Hey Bob,

Thank you so much for leading us in worship through song this year! I was just wondering, are you going to post your prophetic song this year?

    Hey Bob,

You don’t happen to have the lyrics for “How Great is Your Faithfulness”? Also, do know whether videos of the conference will be made available?

Thanks for leading worship, it was very refreshing and its always incredible and moving to sing to our great God.

    Thanks, Caleb Vander Ark

Caleb, we’re not allowed to distribute lyrics for other songs, but I’m sure you can find the lyrics on the web.

    Bob,

Will there be a cd like last year?

    Thanks!

    • Bob Kauflin June 1, 2010 at 10:31 PM #

LaKesha, at this point we’re planning on posting videos of some of the songs from the conference. We’ll decide later whether or not to do a download CD, or maybe certain songs. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for posting this list! I really like the voice of vocalist Erin, who attends your chuch and shared her testimony. I was curious to see if she had a myspace or anything like that?

Thanks so much for serving us with your talents! I’m sad NEXT is moving next year, I guess I’ll just have to go on a road trip! My church is holding an evangelistic outreach event this weekend and we would love to use the video that you guys showed for The Prodigal. I know it’s on youtube but is there anyway I can get the video itself?

  10. Chris June 3, 2010 at 10:38 AM #

JC, not sure if this is what you’re looking for specifically, but the video is also on vimeo and should be able to be downloaded from there:

    Hope that helps.

I noticed you’re doing “Jesus Paid It All.” Can you give me some ideas as to instrumentation on this?

    • Bob Kauflin June 4, 2010 at 11:10 PM #

Bunny, Jesus Paid it All was acoustic guitar driven, plus the band. Very much like Kristian Stanfill’s version.

I just turned this list into a playlist on my Zune. Thanks! I look forward to hearing how you put the sessions together even though I wasn’t there. Maybe I can add the talks to the playlist when they’re up.
