Portland Seminars4Worship

On July 12 & 13  I’ll have the privilege of speaking at the Portland Seminars4Worship conference, called Journey to the Heart of Worship, put on by Integrity Music. I’ll be speaking at a main session Friday morning and teaching a couple seminars that afternoon. If you happen to live in the Portland area, and have a chance to stop by, it would be great to meet you.

    Bob,
I’m attending the S4W conference in MA later this month. Will you also be speaking there, and if so, which sessions?
I’ve never been to a conference by Integrity, and not sure what to expect. Been reading your blog and been really inspired and encouraged as a worship leader/worshipper of God.

    Maria,

Thanks for about the S4W in MA. No, I’m only going to be at two events this year. The one in Portland and the one in West Palm Beach, Oct. 24-25. I think this year they’ve taken more time to put together a group of seminars and main sessions that will be helpful to folks who come.

Bob…thats too bad. I am also going to the one in MA…they have you listed as being at it. I was really hoping to hear from you. Good luck in Portland

    Bob,

Thanks for your classes and the morning talk you did in Portland. Also, thanks for “O Great God”. I played it for my worship team this morning and they can’t wait to do it. They were also pleased to get to hear Vikki Cook (i think that’s her singing) singing.

I hope to have it arranged and recorded soon. The team is eager to hear an acappella version of it. (i hope i do it justice!)

    God Bless and thanks again.

    Mitch,

Great meeting you in Portland. Actually, that’s my daughter, Megan, singing “O Great God.” Vikki is on some other projects we’ve done but didn’t sing on Valley of Vision.

Another song you might want to check out is Alas and Did My Savior Bleed, a rewrite I did a while back. I think it would work well a cappella. It’s on Songs for the Cross Centered Life.

I’ll check that one out too.

    thanks…

Hi! I was at the conference in Portland, OR 7-12 and 7-13. I really appreciated what you had to say in the morning session and in especially the afternoon session with regards to healthy tensions in worship. I would really like to have a deeper discussion if possible with regards to healthy tensions in worship. I go to a church that has been around (physically) since the 1880s. We have several people who are in their 90s that have attended there since birth. Thanks again for your thoughts, I felt encouraged that we may be on the right track at our church!
