This is a another video of a recent Sunday morning at my home church. Again, the arrangement is slightly different from the recording.
The song is “You Have Been Healed” (from our Risen album) and we sang it while the elements for communion were passed around.
The lyrics are taken from 1 Peter 2:22-25. :
VS 1
You bore our sins in Your body
As You were hung on a tree,
So we might die to rebellion
And live for him who set us free
VS 2
You were mocked and reviled
Suffering in our place
Trusting all to Your Father
So enemies could know Your grace
CH
We have been healed, justified
Made alive in the life of Christ
Righteous blood covers every sin
Risen Lamb, heaven’s light
Crucified and now alive
In Your love, You have drawn us in
VS 3
Like straying sheep we were wandering
Destitute and alone
You sought us out like a shepherd
You carried us and brought us home
BR
All our sin for your grace
What a glorious exchange
All our sin for your grace
What a glorious exchange
All our sin for your grace
What a glorious exchange

Thank you Bob. This is the FIRST video I’ve ever seen of anyone from Sovereign Grace leading live worship.
Thanks for posting this Bob — I really like the arrangement!
Thanks very much, Bob, for posting these videos and making the music available to us. I wondered if you’d ever considered posting a longer segment of your Sunday morning music. I think it would be instructive to see not just how you sing/lead a particular song, but how you lead a worship set. Just a thought. Looking forward to seeing you all at Worship God.
Yes Amen to that above post. Today we need mentors in worship leading. All we have around us is performers. We need inspiration from those who are doing it right.
When John Piper came to the west coast to do a conference just recently, there was a Sovereign Grace guy who led the worship. I had never seen anyone from SGM lead worship before. I was so moved and inspired to watch and participate in his worship leading. It has set a standard for me personally in how I want to lead our congregation. He led with such passion, conviction and joy. His love for the Savior came through as he urged us to sing great phrases of truth over again.I see now that I’ve been lacking a good role model in this area. Now I see what it should be. Would love to see more SGM worship leaders who are filled with the Spirit and truly worshiping God. Please multiply yourselves in us!
Thanks for making this and the written music available on line. Am reading your book right now. It is awesome.
Was just checking out your website this evening.
Thanks again,
